WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

Motion Works SMPT is considered out-of-network and does not accept insurance. Most insurance companies will reimburse you a portion of the cost, just ask us for a superbill. We know you spend your hard-earned money on health insurance. Due to the highly personalized and individualized services you will receive, we guarantee improvements in less visits than a typical physical therapy clinic. Most physical therapy clinics will see multiple patients per hour and utilize less qualified staff to complete treatments. With the high cost of co-pays and deductibles, self-pay may even be more cost effective!

Insurance-based clinics can be limiting, because the insurance companies often control the plan of care. They only allow a certain number of visits, treatment of one body part at a time, and a signed plan of care from an MD. Most insurance companies will not cover prevention, wellness, and maintenance services. This means you cannot use your insurance, until you actually have a problem! At Motion Works SMPT, we care for the whole individual and believe that prevention is the key to longevity!

If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them prior to an evaluation, to make sure we are the right provider for you. If after the evaluation you decide you want to use insurance, we will recommend a trusted clinic that accepts insurance.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

NO. The state of New Mexico is a "direct access" state for physical therapy. This means you can see a physical therapist without a referral. The benefit of direct access is that a patient can get the care they need faster! If we believe you have an injury or medical condition that requires higher care, we will refer you to another provider. We will also communicate with your primary care physician, or any practitioner you request.

PAYMENTS

We accept cash, check, most major credit cards, and FSA/HSA.

We do offer package bundles. These can be paid for in- full up front, or a payment plan can be created to tailor your needs.
